North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust is one of London’s major acute hospital trusts based in North London.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the forward thinking, dynamic Resuscitation Service within the North Middlesex University Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to play a key role in a team responsible for delivery of high quality resuscitation services across a large NHS organization.
Teaching resuscitation is a core part of the role and you will be involved in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating training in all aspects of resuscitation to appropriate groups within the Trust. In addition you will assist with co-coordinating national resuscitation courses including ALS, APLS.
You will be expected to maintain your clinical competence by attending medical emergencies and cardiac arrests utilizing these events as teaching opportunities supporting the development of others as team members and team leaders. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a drive to maintain and improve standards of clinical care through education, audit and research.
You will be a qualified nurse/ODP or paramedic with at least 2 years post registration experience. You will be a qualified ALS, hold a recognized teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards gaining one, and have ongoing experience of the application of resuscitation in an acute setting. You should have good interpersonal, organizational and managerial skills and be computer literate.
