The Department of Allied Health Professions is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer to join the Paramedic Team. The Department currently has a portfolio of paramedic programmes including a B.Sc. (Hons) Paramedic Science, a B.Sc.(Hons) Applied Paramedic Science (top up) and a number of Continuing Education Development(CPD) collaborations with South West Ambulance Service Foundation Trust ranging from emergency care assistants to specialist paramedics in urgent care.
Responsibilities will include teaching and marking, module leadership and development, having a pastoral role as an academic personal tutor, linking/collaborating with practice including visiting students on placement, being involved in faculty wide learning and teaching initiatives and undertaking research activities.
The successful applicant will be an HCPC registered Paramedic who has a sound understanding of Paramedic Science and extensive experience within the emergency care environment. Experience of working within higher education and as a specialist paramedic would be an advantage. Experience of working with students is essential.
