Job description
Avon locality is looking for a qualified Paramedic who would be interested in joining the SWAST Motorcycle Response Unit based at North Bristol Operations Centre in Filton, Bristol.
This will be a full time Paramedic post where you will be required to fulfil all duties and aspects of the Paramedic role and be responsible for the care and treatment of patients.
Successful applicants must have the following:
• Minimum 1 year post registration experience• Hold a full motorcycle licence • Have 2 years experience of driving a motorcycle of 500cc or above.• Provide evidence of 2 years current motorcycle insurance.• Provide Evidence of current CPD.

As well as the MRU selection process, external candidates would need to complete standard SWAST entry assessments which include a fitness test, portfolio assessment, clinical case study, driving theory and practical assessment and an ALS assessment. This would take place on a separate day.
Selection will take place towards the end of April and short listed candidates will be required to complete a theory driving paper and an assessment ride followed by formal interview. Candidates will also be required to provide evidence of CPD.
The next riding course is scheduled for week commencing 8th June.
Candidates will be required to provide their own motorcycle and PPE.
