If you are a locum RGN or Paramedic, Band 5 or 6, that wants well paid and on-going locum work in Bicester, then this opportunity is ideal for you. You can choose to work day shifts, evenings, night shifts and weekend shifts.
NHS 111 is a new service that’s being introduced to make it easier for patients to access local NHS healthcare services. It is intended for when people need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 will be taking over from NHS Direct.
You will be working as a Clinical Advisor at the 111 Contact Centre in Bicester. Full paid training will be provided. As a Clinical Advisor you will carry out complex clinical triage, over the telephone, providing assessment, advice and information. You will refer to other agencies where appropriate.
After the paid training you will be able to choose from day, evening and night shifts – weekdays and weekends. Sessions are based on a rota system which is generally run 4 weeks in advance.
To be considered:
• You will need to be available for around 6 months locum work
• You will need at least 2 years recent RGN/Para experience in the UK
• You will need some Triage experience
• You will need to have excellent written and verbal English language skills
• You will need to be IT literate
• You will need current NMC/HCPC registration
Previous customer service, call centre and supervisory/coaching experience would be advantageous, but should not put you off applying.
Hourly pay is up to £25 per hour. This is a great opportunity for long term locum work in Bicester.
