Fixed term posts for 2 years with possibility for extensions
An opportunity has arisen for 2 positions in dynamic team within the School of Health and Social Work. You will play an essential role both in the delivery and the continual development of our educational programmes, which are designed to support and promote the progression of the paramedic profession.
You will be an experienced paramedic registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will have a sound knowledge and experience of teaching and/or supporting students and an interest in developing innovative ways of delivering our curricula. You will have Honours degree in relevant discipline or equivalent (for Lecturer level) and
Post-graduate qualification at Masters Level or studying towards Masters Level or equivalent experience (for Senior Lecturer level).
You will be expected to participate in teaching, assessment and module management on our range of programmes. In addition to being involved in paramedic students' clinical skills development you will be expected to make a substantial contribution to the development and delivery of patient assessment and management across the programmes, along with our inter-professional modules. All our programmes are supported by world-class learning resources, comprehensive on-site facilities and extensive web based resources that can be accessed both on and off campus.
Under current UKBA regulations, the University is unlikely to be able to get a work permit in respect of this post. We can therefore only accept applications from people who will have the right to work in the UK for the total duration of the contract.
