***Please note this is not an advert for an employment opportunity this is for full time study. There is no gurantee of employment at the end of the course****
Working in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire, the Trust is looking to place 36 students onto a Foundation Degree in Paramedic Science that is subject to Health and Care Professions Council approval.
It is anticipated that these spaces will be hugely popular given the commitment from so many people to become a Paramedic and also due to the fact that tuition fees will be paid in full.
The two year, full time, course offers a mixture of theoretical and practice placements in the field of Paramedic Science within the East of England Ambulance Service.
You will gain the professional knowledge and clinical assessment skills you need to become a confident, autonomous practitioner within the emergency environment. The course will give you a broad perspective of the profession and underpin your theoretical studies with plenty of practical experience.
The emphasis throughout is on the development of advanced knowledge and skills in patient care.
Minimum requirements for consideration include:
1. 180 UCAS points including GCE A Level (or equivalent) grade C in a natural science, plus 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including English language, mathematics and double science (Equivalent qualifications welcomed).
2. A full clean UK manual driving license (with no more than 3 points)
Once you have met these requirements a range of group and individual assessment will be applied as a selection method. An Enhanced CRB disclosure and appropriate Occupational Health clearances will then be instigated.
