We strive to empower individuals and reward performance. Joining our progressive company, you can expect plenty of rewarding career development opportunities and a whole host of impressive benefits too.
Operating in accordance with the Government’s welfare reforms, we are looking to employ talented health professionals to conduct disability assessments and provide advice to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) so that they can determine claimant eligibility for the Personal Independent Payment (PIP) benefit. This is an outstanding opportunity to develop yourself personally and professionally in a high profile role with a cutting-edge employer.
About the role
As a Disability Assessor, you will assess individuals with health conditions that impact upon their daily living and mobility activities, who may be eligible for the PIP benefit. By establishing how they function in every aspect of their daily routine, you will build an understanding of how their condition impacts upon them. Using critical analysis and evaluation of evidence gathered at assessment, together with supporting documentary evidence from GP’s and specialists, you will produce and present a comprehensive report for the DWP.
This is a challenging but highly rewarding role that adds to your CPD and presents a great opportunity to broaden your knowledge and hone your clinical skill set. The role includes a comprehensive four-week training programme which will fully prepare you to undertake the new and varied challenges encountered.
About you
With our intensive training course, together with continued support from a mentor, we will teach you all you need to know and fully support you throughout your role. However, to be considered for this opportunity you must be able demonstrate the following to apply:
At least 1 year of UK based post-registration experience as a Nurse (RGN/RMN), Occupational Therapist (OT), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Doctor with an active, clean licence to practice.
Evidence of your UK registered license to practice with the NMC / HCPC / GMC
A positive attitude and friendly, professional manner with the ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to ensure you can converse directly with claimants and transfer complex information into a legible, concise report
Excellent IT skills
Ability to work under pressure, and be flexible and adaptable in your approach
A full, clean UK driver’s license and access to a vehicle
What’s in it for you?
Together with the excellent professional development opportunity this presents, you will also receive a substantial benefits package including:
