East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides Emergency and Urgent care across
six counties (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and Northamptonshire).

The post holder will care for and administer treatment to patients in an emergency situation and as necessary during both routine and outpatient work in the East Lincolnshire area we have four vacancies to fill. Two vacancies are for Mablethorpe Ambulance Station, one at Skegness and one at Louth.

We also have Relief vacancies in the south of Lincoln and one line at Spalding Ambulance Station. Please only apply if you are a Qualified Paramedic and are interested the the above areas only.


The main duties also include the application of approved techniques and methods of Paramedic skills, Ambulance Aid and Driving. Undertaking pre-planned and routine work as necessary as well as duties in major emergencies or other incidents that may involve call out when off duty.

The successful applicant is expected to carry out station duties involving the care and maintenance of vehicles, equipment and station premises which includes to ensure vehicles and equipment are ready for immediate use at all times. The Paramedics have responsibility for the cleanliness of vehicles ensuring that the interior/exterior are maintained to a high standard and are responsible for ensuring that all defects and deficiencies of vehicles and equipment are reported and that the correct documentation is completed.

The successful applicant is expected to attend according to rota commitments, maintain radio contact with Control, as well as accurate vehicle and patient records.

The post holder is will have to keep informed and abreast of current trends and developments within the Service, to comply with the Service Operational Instructions, to attend any training courses the Trust deems necessary which may be residential, any other duties which may reasonably be required by the Chief Executive or delegated Officer and also to work on other Ambulance stations/locations as required.

All Paramedics will carry out their duties in line with the policies and procedures of the East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust and respond clearly to operational needs regarding the work base/location. The post will require you to work shifts including nights, weekends and bank holidays. More details can be discussed at interview.
