This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team and take a key role in the development, organisation and delivery of Paramedic Programmes (pre-registration and continuing professional development) and to contribute to other programmes within the Faculty, especially those relating to pre-hospital and emergency care.
The post-holder will be involved in the delivery of HCPC approved Pre-Registration Paramedic Education, which will include off-campus delivery at other sites around the UK. The post-holder must therefore be prepared and able to travel and undertake off-site delivery for blocks of time, as required. The support of students within clinical placements will also be a significant part of the role.
The post-holder will develop positive working relationships with NHS Trusts and other organisations, and seek new opportunities for enterprise within pre-hospital and emergency care. The University was shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Outstanding Employer Engagement Award 2012 and this is reflected in the fact that close collaborative working with a number of organisations is a key requirement of the role.
The post-holder will demonstrate enthusiasm for practice-based education and their speciality, and a willingness to utilise a range of e-learning technologies and other strategies in order effect the provision of high quality learning opportunities and the best possible student experience.
Involvement in academic enterprise and research activity will be expected within the role.
Incremental progression up to £44,607 applies, subject to University policy
