Job Introduction:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Risk Management's Specialist Training division for a Medical Instructor based in Hereford to deliver training across the UK but with some training delivery overseas required as part of this role. Reporting to the training manager the postholder will assist with other training modules offered by the division together with the development and design of courses to increase the portfolio of Specialist Training. This role demands a high level of flexibility to ensure training is delivered to meet the needs of the business. Experience of hostile environments (Afghanistan / Iraq etc.) would be an advantage but is not essential.G4S Risk Management is the specialist protective security and consulting arm of G4S plc, the world’s leading international security solutions group and a FTSE 100 listed company. Role Responsibility:
Deliver medical training and be prepared to assist in the delivery of other training across the full spectrum of the G4S Specialist Training Portfolio
Prepare and deliver theoretical lessons and practical scenario based training exercises
Ensure that the medical training delivery complies with the requirements and standards as stated by the relevant awarding bodies
Ensure appropriate resources are in place to support the training delivery
Provide reports and feedback on students’ progress and performance
Accountable for personal tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Training Manager
Conduct and carry out any reasonable tasks as directed by the Training Manager
Work to ensure the best interests of the business are always met
The Ideal Candidate:
The MI should be qualified as one of the following
Remote and Offshore Medic (holding in date HSE Offshore Medic certificate)
State Registered Paramedic (in date and currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council).
Registered Nurse (in date and currently registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council)
Proven experience in delivery of medical training
Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector (Edexcel BTEC or City & Guilds 7303 qualification)
Experience of working in a high pressure environment (hostile environment advantageous)
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-confident and self starter
The ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form at all levels of an organisation.
Ability to influence the actions and opinions of others, to steer them in the desired direction, to show good judgment in order to encourage others to attain important objectives; ability to be recognized
Ability to persuade, negotiate and complete tasks
High level of integrity, professionalism and personal qualities to ensure that an optimum level of performance is maintained.
The ability to work unsupervised in a fast paced team environment.
Proven IT skills in all Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
