Salary: £21,176 to £27,625 pa plus 25% USH
There is an exciting opportunity for two qualified Paramedics to join the Critical Care team in the Avon Sector and will train to become a Critical Care Paramedic. This post will initially be a Band 5 training post for 3 months and after successful completion of the training programme you will become a fully qualified Band 6 Critical Care Paramedic.
If you are a qualified Experienced Paramedic looking for a change in direction or new challenge and would like to apply for this exciting opportunity you will need to have post graduate operational and extensive pre-hospital experience and an eagerness to learn.
This role will require the post holder to provide pre-hospital critical care to patients in emergency conditions. As a Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) you will be deployed to incidents via aircraft and road vehicles. Part of
the role will require flight training and the maintenance of fitness to fly competencies.
There will be a requirement as part of the training programme for you to be able to pass a university level Critical Care Model and a CAA / HEMS crew member course.
This is a fast paced role working with Multi-Disciplinary teams across the Emergency Services.
Please note if you are short listed for this post you will be expected to attend the selection weekend which will consist of: Written, Clinical and Fitness assessments which will be outlined on the first day of selection.

• Day 1 Saturday 21st January 2012
• Day 2 Sunday 22nd January 2012
• Interview Week commencing 23rd January 2012.
*Please note that only successful candidates from day 1 will be asked to attend the second day of selection.
