Clinical Lead Paramedic
Salary: Band 7, salaried post
Hours: Full time post, salaried, hours to suit business operations
Accountable to: Operations Manager
Location: Main base is at our Head Office in Bourne, South Lincs. Regular travel to our South Witham and Norwich bases and any other future bases that may be opened.
We seeking an exceptional candidate for the post of Clinical Lead Paramedic working from our Head Office in Bourne near Peterborough, Cambs.Human Touch Ambulance is part of a unique organisation that provides the full range of ambulance services to 4 NHS Trusts. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our team.
This is an outstanding opportunity to lead and develop continuous improvements in clinical care standards. The successful candidate will be a proactive Paramedic with clinical leadership and proven managerial skills with the necessary knowledge and experience to manage complex change, build and lead high performing teams and continually focus on the delivery of consistently high quality results. You will work as part of an established team delivering quality clinical support and governance to our Ambulance Clinicians. This will be achieved by robust procedures, but will allow for your own knowledge, skills and experience to augment the decisions made. You will be part of an on call rota that provides duty officer cover. The role requires a unique skill set ranging from being clinically excellent to being flexible and thinking on your feet.
The Clinical Lead Paramedic will have a strong influence in a wide-ranging role and will be responsible for advising the Clinical Manager on all clinical matters to ensure that the company continues to deliver clinical services that are safe and of high quality.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
Provide technical advice to support the Clinical Manager in meeting the requirement of the CQC registration and function of a registered manager.
Provide technical advice to support implementation of policy, processes and compliance monitoring.
Clinically support clinicians and non-registered staff to ensure that staff are professionally lead.
Participate in Infection Prevention and Control function where required.
Champion clinical quality assurance activities through providing technical advice to the
Clinical Manager and Operational Management team.
Support the Operations Manager in the implementation of the clinical audit programmes and the risk management, quality management and clinical governance processes through participation with the Clinical Governance Group.
Report to the Operations Manager on the Company’s performance against all areas of quality standards; service user experience, safety and clinical effectiveness.
The Company would like to invite applications from HCPC registered Paramedics with D1/D2, who have appropriate flare, leadership skills, proven flexibility, a fresh approach and relevant clinical experience.
