Team Medic Instructor Trainer

Job Description
To deliver training to land forces personnel to meet the deployment requirements of Team Medic (Army) personnel. Prepares for instructional duties by undertaking appropriate personal study, familiarisation with course documentation, production of lesson plans and supporting visual aids. Undergo regular assessments in accordance with instructor assessment requirements stipulated by the CO DSHT. Maintain a record of personal development and participate in external and internal education programmes where a need is identified. Instruct students undertaking Team Medic and Team Medic Train-the Trainer courses of instruction. Instruct or examine students under training within the department in accordance with the extant training documentation ensuring that
instructional specifications are met. Monitor and record the progress of the students and conducting student interviews. (Inform the chain of command of any significant issues or student learning difficulties.) Act as Office Manager. Update the Team Medic (Army) Trainers Manual as and when required. This post would suit Ex military personnel but previous military experience is not essential. As per JSP 822 candidates should hold a relevant national qualification in the medical field and have at least 5 years relevant practical experience within a medical field such as Health and Safety at work first aider, community first responder or military medic. All candidates will be required to complete a Defence Instructional Techniques course within 6 months of taking up the appointment. Driving licence not essential but desirable. This post may also require the successful candidate to travel overseas to deliver training when required.
