West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit 80 Paramedics. This advert is aimed at Paramedic students who are currently studying and are shortly due to complete a relevant qualification in pre-hospital care resulting in registration as a Paramedic with the Health Care Professions Council.
The assessment process will be split into two stages; an initial Advanced Life Support (ALS) assessment which will take place on Saturday 1st June and subject to successful completion of this you will then be invited to attend on either Saturday 22nd or 29th June to complete the remaining assessments which consist of a driving assessment, fitness assessment, interview, clinical OSCE and VIVA clinical case study.

On commencement with the Trust successful candidates will be placed onto a 6 week induction programme which includes a 3 week clinical introduction to West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and the 3 week IHCD Emergency driving course. Please note the induction is on a pass or fail basis.

Inductions are planned for Monday 9th September 2013 and Monday 21st October 2013 and no annual leave will be granted within this 6 week period.

Following your induction programme a structured operational support agreement is in place to provide additional assistance and develop confidence.
